Khalid Al Qubaisi

Chief Executive Officer

Khalid M. Al Qubaisi was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Energy Services in August of 2021. He has more than 15 years of experience in business development, operations and asset management across multiple sectors including ICT, Investments, Real Estate, Commodity Trading and Ship Building. In his current role, Khalid plays an integral part in helping grow the energy services marketplace. As a market maker for Energy Services, ADES is mandated to ramp-up project development and execution to reduce energy consumption by providing demand side solutions targeted at efficient use of water and electricity in the Emirate and beyond. Khalid’s most recent assignment was at Mubadala Investment Company as Vice President of Information Communication and Technology. Prior to this, Khalid served in several leadership positions across many key entities. Khalid holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in the field of Financial Administration and Financial Institutions.

Stephane le Gentil

Chief Operating Officer

Stephane has more than 30 years’ experience, with many of these being in the energy efficiency and ESCO sector. In 2013 Stephane founded and managed the Dubai Super ESCO, Etihad ESCO, with the aim of retrofitting 30,000 Dubai buildings. In 2017 he founded Wattaqa to provide strategic consultancy & advisory in energy efficiency and energy services in the Middle East region, and was CEO of the Clean Energy Business Council. In 2018 he joined ENGIE Middle East, South & Central Asia, and Turkey as Head of Energy Efficiency. Here he created ENGIE’s ESCO activities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Moutaz Abdalla

Head of Operations

Moutaz has more than 15 years’ experience in projects development, consultancy, and strategic planning/execution in the field of ESCOs and building efficiency projects. Prior to his role at ADES, Moutaz worked for an international energy efficiency consultancy and prior to that an international ESCO company. Moutaz holds a Master Degree in Engineering Management from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Demand Side Manager (CDSM).

Abdulla Al Ali


Abdulla has more than 27 years’ experience working for both public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi. Abdulla has held senior managerial roles and actively participated in steering committees and other special task forces in government entities and in the Oil & Gas sector. Prior to his role at ADES, Abdulla work experience includes the Director of Real Estate, FM & Engineering at Al Hilal Bank and Executive Director for Support Services for Abu Dhabi Education Council. Abdulla holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.

Suhaib Almarzooqi

Business Development Manager

Suhaib has more than 14 years’ experience in the Energy and Transportation sectors in Abu Dhabi. Prior to ADES Suhaib worked on several Transportation efficiency and Pollution reduction programs for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Suhaib has also occupied senior managerial roles in Strategic Planning and Sustainability. Suhaib holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information System, a Master’s Degree with Honors in Business Administration and currently is doing his Doctorate program in Energy Efficiency. He is also a certified CSR Practitioner.
